The conference will bring together community members and thought leaders from education, government, industry, and non-profits to explore ways of developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce ready to meet the challenges of the future.

RICET, or the Regional Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and Training, was a collaborative effort to build and strengthen a foundation in cybersecurity education, training, and workforce for the Americas. This event provides an opportunity for community members and thought leaders from education, government, industry, and non-profits to explore ways of developing a curriculum for the current and future cybersecurity workforce. This event is hosted by Florida International University and the Organization of American States in cooperation with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education.
The RICET Conference 2022 took place virtually on Wednesday, November 16th at 12:00-4:00 PM ET.

A Team Approach to Solving the National Cybersecurity Workforce Crisis, a pre-conference event to the NICE Conference at the Georgia Cyber Center, took place April 14, 2022 from 3:30 – 6:00 pm. The panel had experts from the public and private industry, large and small, to discuss the cybersecurity workforce crisis and a plan to minimize and, in time, eliminate the crisis. Panelists discussed the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed in the cybersecurity workforce today and in the future.

In light of dramatic events and emerging risks, experts discussed the role of the cybersecurity workforce and the need for a coordinated response to strengthen the supply chain.
